My life and (almost) everything else in this world!

About

ThisĀ is me:

Alireza Sami

My life has been probably more complex than many other people in this world. Why? It has a long story! if you want to know why in just a few words, I must tell you that I have been travelling for almost entire my life. It even started since the time that I didn’t step into this world…

I was born in a hot city in south-west corner of Iran. Ahvaz is the capital of Khuzestan, the most important state of Iran for its huge reserve of oil.

Ahvaz - Pol Sefid (The White Bridge)

My parents are from just the other side of Iran. Guilan state is one of the most beautiful places in Iran with a lot of rice fields and tea farms. Guilan is supposed to have the most educated and intellectual people in Iran.

Rasht - on the way from Tehran

When the Islamic revolution of Iran happened in 1979, in most religious cities such as Tabriz, Qom, Isfahan, and Mashad people were celebrating fall of Shah’s regime. They were so happy to finally have an Islamic government in the country. Ayatollah Khomeini who was on exile in France for many years, came with a special Air France flight to Mehrabad airport in Tehran. Perhaps there was only one city in Iran that never joined the Islamic revolution’s celebration. This is Rasht, the capital of Guilan, where my parents come from.

It is almost impossible for an Iranian to talk about anything without saying a word about the revolution in Iran. So do I! ;)
